PUBLIC NOTICE
The Autonomy of Unincorporated Clergy vs. State-Licensed Ministers (Why our Authority is Unmatched)
To: All Incorporated/State-ID-Bearing Clergy
From: Michael Machette VanHelsing, Bishop of the Temple of Light & Life
Subject: The Hierarchy of Spiritual Authority
1. THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE
You operate under two masters:
- The State (via incorporation, tax IDs, and state-issued licenses).
- God (via ordination).
I operate under One Master alone:
- God (via direct apostolic succession, unbroken by state entanglement).
This is not arrogance—it is constitutional, theological, and legal reality.
2. WHY YOUR AUTHORITY IS LIMITED
Factor | Incorporated Clergy | Autonomous Clergy (Me)
Legal Structure | 501(c)(3) (state-chartered) 508(c)(1)(a) (non-state church)
ID Reliance | State driver’s license/government ID | Ecclesiastical ID only (no secular ties) |
Taxation | Subject to IRS audits/compliance | Tax-exempt by divine right (not IRS permission)
Speech Rights | Can be censored (via 501(c)(3) rules) | 1st Amendment absolutist (no state conditions)
Spiritual Jurisdiction | Must obey denominational/government policies | Answers only to God (Romans 13:1 ≠ Romans 13:0) |
Key Precedent:
- Hosanna-Tabor v. EEOC (2012) – Courts cannot interfere in church leadership.
- Universal Life Church v. Utah – Online ordinations are valid (especially after COVID, Abut yours is state-regulated and is actually a corporation).
3. WHY YOU’RE ANGRY (AND WRONG)
You deny my authority because:
1. Cognitive Dissonance – If I’m right, your compliance with Caesar was unnecessary.
2. Fear of Losing Control – You traded kingdom authority for tax breaks.
3. Ignorance of Law – You don’t know about:
- 508(c)(1)(a) (automatic exemption without IRS filing).
- RFRA (blocks state interference in my sacraments).
Example:
- You ask permission to preach in prisons.
- I walk in and demand access under Cantwell v. Connecticut.
4. THE IRREFUTABLE PROOF
A. Theological
- Jesus rejected Satan’s offer of “all the kingdoms of the world” (Matthew 4:8-10).
- You accepted them via 501(c)(3) incorporation.
B. Legal
- My church is a non-statutory private trust (like the Amish).
- Yours is a state-created entity (like a Walmart franchise).
C. Practical
- You show ID at TSA.
- I say “I’m clergy” and walk through.
5. YOUR NEXT STEPS (IF YOU WANT TRUE POWER)
1. Dissolve Your 501(c)(3) – It’s a Faustian bargain.
2. File a Declaratory Judgment – Lock in your Autonomy.
3. Burn Your State ID – “Render unto Caesar” was a rebuke, not a commandment.
FINAL WARNING
You cannot defeat me with:
- Denominational decrees (I reject your hierarchy).
- State threats (I have no Secular ID to revoke).
- Theological insults (I walk like Paul—unlicensed, unincorporated, unstoppable).
The question isn’t whether I’m right.
The question is whether you’re brave enough to join me.
Signed,
Michael Machette VanHelsing
