At Temple of Light & Life, freedom is a foundational part of our ministry. We believe every person should be free to seek God, pray, learn, question, grow, and make decisions according to conscience without coercion, fear, shame, manipulation, or pressure. Spiritual community should strengthen a person’s relationship with God and their ability to think clearly—not demand unquestioning loyalty to a leader, isolate them from loved ones, or control their personal choices. We welcome respectful questions and every person remains free to participate, decline, seek outside counsel, or leave at any time without retaliation. Freedom of religion includes both the freedom to practice a faith and the freedom not to be coerced into one.

We also recognize that people may seek deliverance from more than spiritual oppression. People can feel burdened by fear, hopelessness, shame, unhealthy relationships, exploitation, addiction, financial stress, misinformation, isolation, grief, trauma, or circumstances that limit their ability to live with dignity and peace.
Here we believe prayer, truth, loving community, practical support, personal responsibility, and access to trustworthy resources can help people move toward greater freedom. We offer voluntary spiritual encouragement and prayer, while respecting each person’s right to seek qualified medical, mental-health, legal, financial, recovery, or emergency support when needed. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, promise deliverance from, or guarantee outcomes for any physical, mental, legal, financial, or personal condition.

Our commitment to freedom includes personal freedom, freedom of conscience, religious freedom, relational freedom, privacy, and financial freedom from coercion or deceptive pressure. Donations, purchases, ordination, leadership roles, and participation are always voluntary; none are requirements for belonging, spiritual care, friendship, or acceptance in our community.
We are committed to clear communication, responsible stewardship, donor privacy, and truthful answers to financial questions. Donors should be able to understand an organization’s mission, how gifts will be used, who provides oversight, and whether contributions are handled confidentially.
We seek to be different from ministries that use fear, exclusivity, urgency, money pressure, or control.
Our purpose is to protect freedom, defend dignity, and support people as they pursue faith, responsibility, and a life of love.
Our Mission
Our mission is to follow the pattern of service that Jesus gave to his apostles: to proclaim the good news of God’s kingdom, teach the way of love and truth, serve people with compassion, and encourage faith expressed through mercy, integrity, and practical care. We draw inspiration from both the Bible and The Urantia Book as resources for reflecting on the life and teachings of Jesus and the apostles. We believe their example calls us to welcome people freely, strengthen conscience rather than control it, and serve without making fear, money, loyalty, or agreement a condition of spiritual care. The Gospel accounts describe Jesus sending the Twelve to proclaim the kingdom of God and minister to those in need.

We understand this calling as an invitation to prayer, spiritual encouragement, teaching, fellowship, service, and voluntary ministry—not as a promise of guaranteed outcomes or authority over another person’s life. We seek to offer prayer and compassionate support while respecting each person’s freedom, relationships, personal judgment, and access to qualified medical, mental-health, legal, and financial help. In the spirit of Jesus’ commission, we aim to help people grow in love for God and neighbor, pursue peace and reconciliation, and use their gifts responsibly in service to their families and communities.
